i bought this for an 18 year old family friend who has had trouble with the typical "freshman-15" lb college weight gain. since she spends long hours at their library, she cant find healthful options for late night snacking at the vending machines and cafeterias. this book says it addresses those issues.
after reading it, she seemed much less than impressed, so i borrowed it back to skim through it [being a pretty healthy eater myself, i've never had a real problem with weight gain]. she was right: a lot of advice on how to change your mindset to keep yourself from cheating/overeating, but as far as advice on how to make healthier choices when presented with such limited options, this book fell short of expectations. might be more helpful to someone who is first getting educated on how to begin a healthier lifestyle and what foods to avoid in general.
